The path to independence was the incentive of two brothers when they joined the end of 2015 Brand BËRGSTEIGER founded. Inspired by her father, who was a passionate mountaineer, the idea came up to create a new brand for climbers. 

What began as a small business developed into a well-known brand in the mountaineering and outdoor sports scene thanks to social media. If one goes today on a mountain, the chances are not too small, to find a customer and carrier of the well-known bracelets.

The Facebook group for the exchange of outdoor sports possibilities in the area of ​​ski touring, via ferrata, climbing, mountaineering, trekking, alpine tours, mountain biking and trail running.

In 2015, Alexander Schweiger founded this commnunity. He wanted to meet like-minded people - for ski tours and via ferrata. He knew these sports only from stories before.

Especially through new tours and great pictures, the site recorded rapid growth. Today, among the almost 30,000 participants, there are many people from all walks of life and of all ages. From housewives to extreme athletes.

The Alpine Club is the largest alpine club in Austria for mountaineering enthusiasts. The most important tasks are the promotion and exercise of mountain sports (hiking, mountaineering, climbing, ski touring, mountain biking and alpine trend sports) and the appropriate training of athletes and professionals. 

With the huts, paths and climbing facilities, the club provide the necessary infrastructure. In addition to personal advice mountain sports enthusiasts can use a wealth of publications and online services as information channels.
